Please read the safety instructions completely and carefully before using the DM100-B digital cable receiver. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for incorrect handling or misuse of the DM100-B digital cable receiver
- Allow enough space around the receiver for sufficient ventilation
- Do not cover the receiver ventilation openings with items such as newspapers,
tablecloths, curtains etc - Do not expose the receiver to dripping or splashing liquids
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the receiver
- Do not connect or modify cables when the receiver is powered.
- Do not remove the cover. Risk of electric shock
- Do not stick any metallic items into the slots or ventilation openings
- Please note that the only way to isolate the receiver completely from the mains
power supply is to unplug the mains power cord! - If you do not use your receiver for a long time, please disconnect it from the mains
power. - Please disconnect your receiver from the mains power during thunder or heavy
storms - Connecting to the digital cable network:
- Disconnect the mains power cord before connecting or disconnecting the coaxial cable
- Connecting to the TV:
Disconnect the mains power cord before connecting or disconnecting the AV or S-Video cables - Disconnect the mains power cord if the power supply or power cord is damaged
- Disconnect the mains power cord if the DM100-B gets in contact with moisture or
moisture has penetrated inside - Disconnect the mains power cord if you see any damage to the casing
- Cleaning:
- Disconnect the mains power cord before cleaning the cover. Use a slightly damp cloth without cleaning agents.
- Connect the power supply only to suitable sockets 110-230V / 50-60Hz. Do not allow overloads to occur.

4- Getting started
Before using the DM100-B Digital cable receiver, please read the safety instructions!
- Connect the coaxial cable from your Digital Cable outlet into the Antenna IN on the
rear of the DM100-B - Connect the DM100-B with the appropriate Audio / Video cables to your television
- Plug the power supply into the DM100-B and then into the power outlet
- Turn on power switch.
When you turn on the DM100-B, it will display the "Caribbean" logo and then perform a self check.

If your DM100-B does not successfully complete the self check or an error message appears, contact your place of purchase.
Once the self check has successfully completed, you will be prompted to scan for new channels.

If you do not know the frequency information for your Digital Cable service then select "Fast Search".
Once you have selected "Fast Search" the scanning process will begin and the progress screen will be displayed

Level
Signal level from the digital cable service
C/N
Carrier Noise is the difference between noise level and signal level
BER
Bit Error Rate is the amount of data errors in the signal
Once a valid frequency is found the signal level indicators will illuminate and start scanning. New channels will be listed in the column on the right
If the signal level indicators do not illuminate then there is a problem with the coaxial cable connection or the frequency information is incorrect. Contact your local cable TV technician for assistance.
You require 3 settings to add a new channel. If the frequency information required for your Digital Cable service is not pre loaded into the receiver, you can still scan for channels by entering the appropriate frequency information.

These settings can be obtained from another Digital Cable receiver or from your local cable TV technician.
To display the OSD main menu press the <menu> button on the remote control.

9-EPG - Electronic Program Guide
The Electronic Program Guide can be activated from the main menu or by pressing the EPG button on the remote control.

The EPG can display up to 7 days* of program information as well as the Free To Air or Conditional Access (Subscription Pay TV) status of the available channels. EPG Navigation keys are displayed at the bottom of the screen

Reservation
To set a reminder for your favorite program, just highlight the program you wish to watch in the EPG and press SEL on the remote control. Just before your reserved program is about to commence you will receive and onscreen message.
To edit the Reserved programs list just select Reservation from the main menu and follow the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen.
* Accuracy and length of the EPG is dependant on the information supplied by the digital cable provider
The TV list and Radio list can be activated from the main menu.
On the left you will see group categories. The first group ALL is the default directory where all the scanned channels are stored.
Using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen you can move or delete channels into groups of your choice. TV Channels Radio Channels
Channels with the ($) icon represent PayTV channels and the channels with no icon are Free To Air

Parental control settings can be accessed from the main menu and offer users the ability to lock out particular channels which may be inappropriate

CH Lock
When entering the CH Lock menu you will be prompted for a Login Password Default 888888 For security your password will be shown as a row of asterisk

Follow the navigation keys at the bottom of the screen to add channels to the LOCK list. When a user attempts to access a channel in the LOCK list they will be required to enter the login password


To view messages sent by your digital Cable service* press the MAIL button on the remote control. Using the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen you can manage your mail messages.

* Mail messages will only be received if the digital cable service supports this feature
The System settings menu can only be activated from the main menu. Any settings changed in this menu will take effect immediately.

Basic Setting
Basic settings such as Audio and Video settings can be changed to suit your home theater.
System info
System info displays the hardware and software information relating to your receiver
Recovery setting
Recovery setting is used to reset the unit to the factory default settings

all channel and system settings information will be lost.
